How Refunds & Payment Management Work in Bookingbird
Invoices & Payment Management:
Payments are always tied to invoices. Access the invoice detail screen under the โInvoicesโ menu to review and manage payments.

Upon clicking on refund for a given payment, Bookingbird automatically creates a corresponding credit note invoice and marks the payment as refunded. If the payment was made online through Stripe, the refund is triggered immediately.

Processing Time & Updates:
The refund processing time may vary depending on the selected payment method. For instance, Stripe refunds can take different durations, and any payment updates from Stripe are reflected directly in the payment details.

Refund Policies:
Refund rules are defined at the booking service or subscription level. You can set conditions with percentage values โ for example, if a customer cancels 10 days before the booking starts, a 50% refund is applied.
These rules ensure that when a customer cancels, the refund is automatically processed based on your predefined conditions.
